I was going to try to take the postmodern quiz and gave up. I think my thinking and morality is so ancient I could not even relate to the quiz. I feel like a dinasour.

A little known fact about Tom Hanks is that he is an Orthodox Christian. I believe he converted as a result of marriage to Rita Wilson (who is Greek). Rumor has it that he and the Mrs. are quite active in their parish.

I read it some years ago, but don't seem to have recorded it (I usually record the books I read, but this one slipped through the net).

Nope. The novel was written by Tom Wolfe, while the screenplay for the film was written by Michael Cristofer. (I didn't know these things by memory, but the Internet remembers may things.) :)

Please do include it -- I've posted a summary of the original post there to start it off.

I've found that in LJ, once a posting has dropped of people's current "friends" list, there is little coment from anyone, that's why I suggested another forum to continue the discussion.
