Someone posted a picture on a social medium recently, I think it was Twitter, which seemed to me to encapsulate the spirit of Western Modernity, and the ideal of rugged individualism.

Last week I went to the Amahoro Gathering at Hekpoort, about 40 miles west of Pretoria. About 250 people gathered from various countries in Africa and there were a few from other countries as well.

Several people have asked where they can read the paper I read at the conference of the Association for the Study of Religion in Southern Africa (ASRSA) held in Durban last week.
