In other news, I am sad to report that the Junebug has grown old and wise enough to realize that when I have claimed to be “taking my kisses back” after I kiss him and he says “No! No kisses!”, I have sneakily just been kissing him twice ( Read more... )

We used to pretend to poink off Linc's toes and eat them. One day, to prevent us, he pretended to poink them off himself and toss them out of reach. It was hilarious but I was unduly crushed.

Critter #2 went through a brief phase of not wanted to be kissed. Her method of returning them was to kiss me back. She passed through that phase before I managed to explain "perverse incentive" to her.

Somehow, my son has become convinced (and in turn convinced the rest of us) that instead of blowing kisses, one must throw them overhand, as one would a baseball. The best part is that if you do it more than once he announces, "no, I don't want it!" and will keep throwing your kisses back to you until you stop.
