Yay for delightful Junebug, and for less stressed you? (I hope but may have incorrectly inferred that second bit.)

Huh, hadn't thought about the clothing thing ... but I bet you're right that the presence of pink registers a lot more than any other color, even in small amounts.

I'm trying to let go of my mom hypervigilance. It's an experiment.

Indeed! I tried to comment on that post back when you made it, but was browsing from mobile, which for whatever reason has not been playing nice with LJ for me lately... :P It seems like a good goal, and I look forward to further reports.

It's possible that I seek out the drop of pink in clothing just to give the MAN the FINGER. It's surprisingly hard to find -- it's either boy colors or girl colors. So NAZ has pink and red sparkly hello kitty shirts. oh yes.

In other news, it is critically helpful for me to be reminded of your chill out project this morning. Here's to a chilled out day. *clink*

Ugh, that could have been chiller. Here's to tomorrow.

That is one of the things I like about Siblings Without Rivalry and How to Talk...: they emphasize that you will be having 1,000,000,000 of these interactions with your kids, so if you don't do the absolute right thing, and you think later how you could have been firmer or more understanding or not yelled or whatever, don't worry! You'll have 999,999,999 more chances to work on it!
