TO BE MORE SPECIFIC BEFORE SOMEONE CORRECTS MEI was awakened last night by a loud whistling sound and then a blast that shook my house. I thought at first that it must have been a transformer or something exploding but, having had trouble sleeping lately, I decided to go outside to investigate ( Read more... )

Heeheehee. I don't think I ever heard that.

See my edit after your comment, however. I submitted another song parody to Amiright.com. I have the short version here.

I don't know that song by the Jayhawks but I like your lyrics.

Is it real or in my head, says Ed! dadoffille September 13 2006, 23:37:47 UTC
Of course, it's very possible that meteorites have splashed into your yard since as you know, they fall by millions everyday; but about the nasa specimen, what I find tricky, Ed, is the little Nasa paper; It looks, (for me anyway), like it's not part of the picture. It's like it had been added with photoshops medium or the likes. Or maybe my sight needs help, heehee!

But It would be so cool and great if it had happened! I mean, It's not everyday a part of rocks this size ends up in our yard! :D

I have always been fascinated by the cosmos, so it was very fun to read you, about it.

So here is my perception: I believe the crater falling, but I doubt the nasa paper. (I am pragmatic, me!) :D

ps: is it the thing about 'in my head or not'? I have yet to be sure.

Oh, Jude ... I love when you play detective. As for the little NASA tag, it was in the picture but the numbers did not come out in the original photograph, so I did enhance them so they'd be visible. Il est difficile de tromper un expert. Ce n'est pas?

Now, I hope you will allow me a little mystery in this matter, although I realize you know me and my imagination very well. Of course, whenever I tell you something is "true", you know I am being totally honest. In this case, I can only say that the night was dark and eerie, there was a "crater" in my yard, I was in a strange mood, and sometimes my mind goes to places only people like me can visit. Is that place real? I'm not sure, but it is certainly interesting, and I do my best to describe it to my friends.

Have a wonderful day, mademoiselle. :)

heehee!

Would you believe me Ed if I tell you that I am a little more confused than I was when I first comment?

Not that you do not write wright, on the contrary, but my head is working, and It's a good thing.

I believe the place(s) you visit with your mind are real, because I visit imaginary places, (or are they?), myself.

I think it is real in a abstract, out of this world way.

ps: the icon in the previous comment I made, I put it because I know you've seen the movie, so it wouldn't shock you

A lovely day to you too, Ed! :D

re-ps: I could even see a book about a man who is in a real-world, transported, despites himself, in a parrallel cosmos dimension, because he couldn't help touch the crater, and then
finds himself in a strange universe because the crater absorbed him. Ah... the possibilities! :D

Okay;

You always do it to me. Remember how I said once that reading your comments starts the firecrackers popping in my brain? Well, I won't bombard you now (even though you always say I don't) but I will save my observations for later when I have more time.

Oh, the icon ... of course ... from "Un Chien Andalou". We had so many fun conversations, didn't we? Of course, it still makes me cringe, even though I know it was not real.

Still confused? Hhmmm, maybe if I keep you confused, you will keep coming back to me. I hope so. ;)

Well, if it did happen, that's very cool. I am skeptical about the tag and bolt itself, though.

It was a fun read. Thank you. *g*

Only skeptical? I must be more convincing than I thought.
