Who knew?

How about every single person of every age, race, color, creed, religion, nationality, class, income, and sexual orientation who has ever come face-to-face with me, whether for a moment or over years, from the time I was a child whom I have treated with respect, interest, and emcouragement from the time I was a small child?

And I did so when it was not popular, cool, convenient, or in order to get something for myself.

You could look it up or ask anyone who knows me.

Then you could ask them who stuck up for them when they were wrong without fear of consequences for myself, and who stood up for truth with unceasing passion no matter the odds.

We have that in common my friend...

Aside from the discussion of the day and the issues we find division I have always respected and appreciated those around me and especially when I was overseas - always respect and learn from the locals.

I don't know when it was ever unpopular - except in the heady days of the 80s when it was cool to be a gun-slinging American (figuratively speaking) in Europe.

We disagree on many things... but I have never thought you anything but gracious and decent.

We know different truths... but that's life.
