I had to comment right away. Gentle prodding, and all.

The ending of this was hilarious. I think it demonstrated the constant attention wee ones demand from their parents. Nothing glossy about this content at all. Very real life.

This made me laugh because it seemed so true to the nature of wee ones to tell their mothers when they dislike something:

"Icky," Teddy sputtered miserably, dropping his bag of Bertie Bott's as he reached pathetically up for Tonks. "Icky, Mama."

Remus' fatherly crisis regarding the hazard Teddy faces with dementors because of not liking chocolate was incredibly dorky and so sincere.

And of course I enjoyed Harry along for the ride in this because, if you remember, I'm a fan of the Honeymooners verse.

Good work for a couple of hours with your energy fingers!

Edit: I cannot seem to put words in their proper order today! Good grief!! Edit 2: Or spell. Good grief, x2.

I should really thank you for the gentle prodding! It was really fun to write, especially after having the gimp shoulder for the past two days. And I'm super happy you found it funny and true-to-life for little ones and dorky dads. ;) Thanks very much for your lovely comments. :)

This was very cute! I enjoyed it. A fantastic read before bedtime.

Poor Remus! His son doesn't like chocolate, but I love the reaction, and I'm sure Teddy will be able to produce a patronus by the age of four...you know to keep all those nasty dementors away. ;)

Thank you very much! And I think that even if Teddy can't cast a Patronus by the age of four, Remus will surely try to teach him to do so. ;)

Oh, Thanks! I needed that! After the awful, horrible, no good very bad day I had today, I needed me some Lupin family love! I completely understand Remus, horror! My Mother and I are complete chocoholics and ::gasp:: my sister "doesn't care for chocolate!" Can you believe it?! Thanks again for the mood lifter!

Mr. Tater hates chocolate, and it shocked me utterly the first time I learned this. It's such a weird dislike!

Very happy the Lupin love was well-timed. And I hope you have a better day today. :)

That's awesome. Oh, and poor Remus...to be saddled with a child who doesn't love chocolate. :) It's a good job chocolate is not ickle Teddy's only defense against Dementors!

Also, wow, Teddy is pretty advanced for a one-year old. My kid is 11 months, and although he's pretty much mastered walking, he only has 1.5 teeth, and can't say either "fwog" or "dada"! ;D

Oh, crap...Child prodigy issues aside, I can't believe I had him talking when the whole thing was building up to the possible first word. Whoops! That's what I get for trying to write a fic under a tight deadline. Well, it was easily adjusted!

Thanks very much for reading! I'm really glad you found Teddy's chocolate dislike (and Remus' reaction to it) amusing. It was a thought that made me giggle. :)

Teddy is the cutest here, I have to say! "Icky, Mama" is so sweet. I love seeing Parenting!Remus and Tonks, it's a lot of fun, and your idea of chocolate tasting being a Lupin family tradition was fun too. Doesn't 'Dada' count as a first word though? Still, talented boy nonetheless. I loved Harry too. Long live AU!

Thank you very much! I'm glad you like this little glimpse into Lupin family life and their traditions. Whoops - you're totally right about Teddy having other dialogue before his supposed first word. Have remedied that. ;)
