You are doing it because you know it is a good idea, n'est-ce pas?

Stick with it--you'll endure and come out the better for it, which you know, but it might not seem that way right now.

At the time I'd written that post I'd misunderstood someone's message to me and also have been deeply affected by my mom's protracted (and pretty much terminal) illnesses, and that keeps seeming to be over, then not being over. She went home only to be back in the ER before a day had gone by.

I was having heart trouble and short breath myself and figured, if I don't want to end up pre-deceasing her, I better halt this for now and continue after stabilizing.

Don't ever get addicted to opiates. They are the only drug I so very deeply regret taking; all the rest? I'd do over again... (Well, except for the coke, which was just dumb - but easy to get off of.)

Because it is Good For You(tm).I hope so, because one of the reasons I called temporary halt to it was heart fibrillations, shortness of breath and the "walking downhill and nearly stumbling over my own two legs" incident. I am also going through, or was going through, an abnormally high volume of stress over a low length of time. That sort of shit can lead to heart attacks, which is what killed my dad and nearly killed my mom about 5 times, though this time it's also involving kidneys, diabetes, congestive heart failure and pneumonia; she's 80, and still hanging in there breathing part-time through an oxy-mask. She's a real survivor. I hope I inherited her genes, not my dad's, whose first heart attack left him dead after merely two months of retirement ( ... )
