Apple Cider and a question

I finally found real, proper apple cider in Seattle. Real cider of course being a perishable item, like orange juice, that is a nice murky brown. It is not, clear, powered, or alcoholic, although the alcoholic cider can be quite nice. The fact that I had to go all the way to Whole Foods to acquire this item continues to boggle my mind, seeing as
