I was chatting with spawnily just now, and he mentioned having regular dreams of a huge unknown theatre...

Was it a coincidence then, that I had just chanced upon something quite like that only a few days ago?

Ok ....
I've never been there before, but some pictures do reflect my recurring dreams, esp the seat arrangements.
The only difference was that it was still in it's full glory days in my dream, lighting, curtains, audience and all.

We are all interconnected in our "past", so I would not be surprised that we had visited this place before we were born, if it's indeed that old a place! :P

Exactly what I was thinking! It's like having the Esplanade Theatre hiding within Lucky Plaza or something!

It looks and feels like a proper cinema theatre, a la the old Cathay or Capitol Cinemas of eons ago. But it could well be an actual performance stage too. Would be interesting to stage something there, but then the building location is quite a downer...

WAH .. never knew such a huge theatre exist in that building.. only knew about the tamil cinema there and a nice bowling alley which has closed sometime last year ..

This could be that Tamil cinema that you mentioned then. I'd been to that bowling alley a couple of year ago, and now it's torn down too. Perhaps I should post some pics I took of that as well...
