This is insane. Our poor little street is piled high and I don't know where we would put more. They're doing snow removal on Dot Ave, but I doubt they can spend the effort on the side streets. And every plow that comes by is an insult to all our hard work shoveling and careful mounding of the piles higher & higher

Giant snowblower picks it up and puts it right into a truck which then hauls it away to a snow farm for storage or melting.

Highly effective, but of course, significantly more expensive as you need a lot more drivers and coordinate than just having plows push it around like a toddler with mashed potatoes on the plate.

Yeah, sympathies -- I think Somerville is one of the better-organized cities, but it's still a terrible mess...
