Saw the surgeon this afternoon. I am scheduled for surgery on Thursday, March 12, time unknown. Evidently they will call and let me know the evening before? This is a new one on me. We may need to make childcare arrangements for Senior Nephew but won't know until the night before? The only time I have not been given a firm time for surgery or even ( Read more... )

It's a hernia repair. Infections after last year's surgery led to improper healing of my abdominal muscles. So I have one hernia and one area of thinning muscle which will both be fixed with one big mesh patch.

Frank says it sounds like patching drywall;P

That so sounds like a Fank comment . . . Love the period surgery icon, though maybe not while I'm eating my lunch.
