[There is a soft, but confident knock at the door.]

[The door isn't locked, and he doesn't even look up from the accounts he's currently going over with a mild frown.] Come in.

Good evening, my lord.

[She enters with a smile.

Given it is later on in the evening, Vivienne's put a soft cloak on over the filmy gown. It's keeps her warmer, but doesn't take away from differences in her style versus the ladies at court.]

[...that woman and her damned fashion. Not that Gorlois minded that much, honestly. it was just. Not going to help him get through his paperwork.

Gorlois, for his part, is sans half of his clothing. The jackets and vests and his boots sitting on the chair by his bed. His fingers are stained, a little, with ink.]

...My Lady Vivienne, good evening.

What brings you here?

[As if she was going to knock.] You need to eat.

You need to stop listening to every word our liege says. [simply picks up the bread and walks over to him, leaning against the back of his chair and dangling the food in front of his face] Uther means well, to be sure, but you cannot think when hungry, my lord.

he is my King, I think I'm supposed too. [Nevermind Gorlois has enough land and power to be a king of his own accord... He takes the bread from her fingers, but sets it aside.]

I have much to be doing.

My Lord. [deferring to his better, doesn't mean he won't come in and threaten the man's manhood.] Is this a bad time?

...it's never good when you call me that. Paperwork is always a bad time but that's never stopped you before. [Gorlois is now watching you, both curious and wary.]

[Hey Gorlois, it's your friend, long-time pain in the behind and now a King.]

"Is the food of Camelot not to your liking?" [Uther greets him cheerfully.]

Evidently the ability to knock lessens as you... who am I kidding, you never knocked to begin with. [eyeroll]

I forgot it. Too much to do. What troubles you? If it's more paperwork, give it to Geoffrey.

"We're the best of friends, Gorlois, we have no need to knock." [Yes, that's an invitation to burst into his chambers and see how he likes it.]

"And you think I would bury you in more paperwork? What kind of person do you take me for."

[Uther may have partaken in a few too many meads with dinner this evening.]

"I understand you met the Lady Vivienne? What did you think?"

I take you for a person adverse to your desk. [Eyeroll. really, Uther, what if he had been doing something? How rude.

Gorlois may have noticed, but he doesn't think that much of it.]

I think she is bored.
