"My stack rivals yours," [Uther sighs and flops into the nearest chair.] "And it's only the beginning."
[He purses his lips.] "She is, but hopefully her skills can be put to good use. She certainly knows more about agriculture than I. I think she should stay here, she certainly doesn't seem to want to return to Hibernia."
"Gorlois, I am hereby making a royal decree. You are to leave this paperwork immediately and come along with me. [Uther quite likes the sound of the words 'royal decree', he make get used to making those.]
"And our spoils can be whatever you wish, my friend. I for one wish to show off my skill with some target throwing."
[Gorlois is giving him a look that says that, my friend, is going to end up with you hurt.] And what makes you think I'll listen to your royal decree's, Sire? [Tuts.]
After you've been drinking. Good, I'll get Gaius first.
Incredibly wishful thinking. Especially when I can still beat you and you're only King because I didn't let you die. [Teasingly, he stands then and pokes Uther toward the door.] But it will be your fault if I have no time to sit around looking pretty for your new court tomorrow.
There was that time you nearly hit Gaius when you were aiming for a tree...
"Oh, I'm sure you'll look just fine tomorrow." [The look on Uther's face plainly says, 'You're so vain', somehow with a straight face.
Uther gives a loud laugh remembering.] "Poor Gaius...but he would have been fine, if there's a healing spell he doesn't know. Well, it won't be long until he does."
[Dramatic sigh.] Uther Pendragon, if I had my way I'd be a home, not flouncing around court so you can impress people who only care so long as we've got gold to rub together. Now get moving or I'm going back to my paperwork.
We are presuming you wouldn't hit him in anything vital, then, because I've yet to meet a man who can chant with a knife in his head or throat. Perhaps Nimueh knows someone, though...
"Is the food of Camelot not to your liking?" [Uther greets him cheerfully.]

I forgot it. Too much to do. What troubles you? If it's more paperwork, give it to Geoffrey.
Reply
"And you think I would bury you in more paperwork? What kind of person do you take me for."
[Uther may have partaken in a few too many meads with dinner this evening.]
"I understand you met the Lady Vivienne? What did you think?"
Reply
Gorlois may have noticed, but he doesn't think that much of it.]
I think she is bored.

She said to me that she could not go back, that her father would not wish her too. [Shrugs] So we'll find someone to occupy her.

But he looks thoughtful at Gorlois's suggestion for Vivienne.]
"She was to be Queen, I'm sure not just any mere noble will do for her."
Reply
There are other Princes to be found, it's a big island. So we find her one.

[Uther gets to his feet and swaggers on over, throwing a friendly arm around Gorlois's shoulders.]
"We need to do something fun, my friend, to the victors go the spoils."
Reply
[Gorlois just shakes his head.]
I'm almost afraid to ask what spoils you mean.

[He frowns and eyes Gorlois.] "No need for Gaius, my aim will never desert me, particularly not after a few drinks."
