Just found out that Castle is confirmed as cancelled. I am so relieved. Yes, I don't love the show like I once did but the negative kerfuffle around all of this was even affecting my desire to look at earlier seasons. Hopefully I can forget about it all now! Interestingly I have read a couple of articles that claims it was the social media backlash

I actually really liked the addition of Hayley, and the PI outlet for Castle - if there had been plans for a spin off rather than a continuation I too would have been there!. I hated the imposed arc on Castle and Beckett - there were easier ways to shake things up and give the stars a break from each other if that was what was needed. It just seemed, to me, to suck the life out of the show, and bugged the crap out of me because the storyline made no sense!

Ooh, what is Conviction? I presume a procedural of some sort?

Also relieved to hear about Castle. I've not been fond of this ongoing storyline in the current season and think it should've been the last one anyway. Castle without SK just wouldn't be the same.

Exactly - it's hard to believe the executives thought it was!
