I think Hunith would approve, not just because Hunith is nice but also because Gwaine is in a slightly similar situation as Merlin in that he adores his mother but their fathers aren't around so I think they'd get on well in a son/mother kinda way(Reading back, my logic doesn't make the best of sense but i'll just roll with it for now...). Although I can definitely see Gwaine ending up in Ealdor and staying with Merlin's mum at some point
As for Gaius, he'd probably think Gwaine was a bad influence (just because he wouldn't wanna deal with a drunken Merlin stumbling in at a god awful hour in the morning)

Ahahaha, no worries about the subject if you forget, it's not mandatory, just for easy browsing :P
Ooh, good point about Hunith vs. Gaius. Hunith would look at Gwaine and probably want to mother the child. Fathers aren't around, only left with a mums and ahh, both of them wanted to know more about their fathers. I would love to see Gwaine interacting with Hunith...or heck, I want them to bring back Hunith just for a few episodes.
LOL, Gaius probably would be frowning at Merlin's antics, but I wonder if he'll yell at him or let him be wild every so often, which brings me to another point. That Gwaine is easing the burden on Merlin's shoulders quite a bit, letting him laugh and be relaxed in his company. ♥

Damn i want more fic about them and their fathers (I should probably stop complaining and start writing...) I think I saw one somewhere though so I'll go check that out
Heres to hoping they bring Hunith back. I don't even think she knows Merlin knows about Balinor 0.o If Will was still around as well I could absolutely see him and Gwaine getting on like 2 peas in a pod
Yeah Gaius would probably let him out and have fun but make Merlin do all his chores first :)

There are no dull moments between Merlin and Gwaine from the moment they first met. I love how they light up each other straight from the beginning. When Gwaine introduced himself to Merlin and pretty much toasted to their friendship right then and there all while fighting off the thugs, I fell in love and that love is intensifying every time they appear together. ♥
I think timing is everything. Here and now, I think Merlin & Gwaine are perfect for each other in terms of friendship and where they're at in life. It's rare for Merlin to find instantaneous friends or heck, just friends in general (yesh, i really want him to have a friend), and it's gorgeous that he appears in the form of Gwaine <3.

Merlin neeeeds friends <3333 I think I was smitten BECAUSE he was fighting and all of a sudden, 'HEY HOTTIE, I'm GWAIIINE!' Let me drink sexily while you ogle me. :D That was the vibe I picked up lol.
The campfire scene is definitely the defining moment for Merlin/Gwaine (to me) also. I STILL can't believe it's real. I rewatch that too many times to be healthy :P
I WANT some background on Gwaine, but hazy ones, ones that are like outlines so FANDOM CAN FILL IN THE BLANKS :P I don't expect a lot of scenes between Merlin/Gwaine, but I would be REALLY happy if we get a few of those every so often. I JUST WANT MERLIN TO BE HAPPY WITH A FRIEND :D

'HEY HOTTIE, I'm GWAIIINE!' Let me drink sexily while you ogle me. :D So very Gwaine.
On the other hand, I also think Gwaine needs a good friend too. The campfire scene showed us that Gwaine, like Merlin, doesn't really have any lasting friends, and he strikes me as a type of guy who is all friendly and bravado but is actually very careful who he really lets to get to know him, trust issues and all. I think he sees in Merlin someone who he could run away with instead of running away from.
I just love the way Merlin's face lights up whenever he sees Gwaine. And the line in the last ep when Arthur's saying we have to keep this a secret and Merlin says, "But it's...Gwaine! my boyfriend." Gwaine and Arthur fighting was awesome, it was like they were fighting over Merlin (aside from any Gwaine/Arthur USTness, which my slash goggles firmly insist is there):
I hope that if Gwaine becomes a permanent feature of Camelot (yesyesyesplease?), Merlin'll still be his main man.
You've just hit on my fondest wish! Let him be a knight, let him become friends with Arthur, Leon, Lancelot, Elyan, Percival, but PLEASE let him always have something special with Merlin. I'm just afraid that it's going to depend on who writes the episodes he appears in. 3x04 and 3x08 were written by Julian Jones, I think? But 3x12 was by Jake Michie and I didn't 'feel' the M/Gwa connection quite as strongly as in the two previous Gwaine eps (it was there, of course, just not as in-my-face, I thought.) BUT! Julian Jones is the writer for 3x13 so I'm hoping that he's a bit of a M/Gwa fanboy and their interaction will be the campfire scene kind of awesome. :)
If Julian Jones doesn't forget Merlin/Gwaine in the quest for epicness, I WILL BE HAPPY. I am so scared that he'll just separate Merlin for most of the episode.
I WANT ANOTHER CAMPFIRE SCENE. If possible, they should give us a campfire scene every season :D Just Merlin/Gwaine roasting marshmellows, making out, etc... *_____*

Sadly, I think you're probably right. :( It's probably not good for me to think too much about what I hope happens so that I won't be disappointed when it doesn't, but what I want is for Gwaine to find out about Merlin's magic (or let him know that he already knows) and to sneak off after Merlin when Merlin goes off to do his thing. But who am I kidding? I'd be THRILLED if Gwaine just gave him another hug before Merlin goes. :D
