I kind of hate what they've done with it. It doesn't make any sense that Morgana would "begin a reign of terrible evil over the innocent citizens of Camelot". It doesn't fit at all with her motivations or with Morgause's motivations (because they are different), they hate Uther because of his repression of their people, because of the terrible things he has done. Why the hell do they suddenly apparently want terrorise innocent people.
It's what has been happening over the last few episodes, with Morgana suddenly hating Arthur and Gwen, her only possible motivation for that being jealousy. Even Morgause didn't hate Arthur, that's obvious if you watch series 2. It’s as if both of their characters have become two-dimensionally evil just as a plot device.
They could have really had something with Morgana and Morgause but they’ve pretty much blown it.
I am hoping that the synopsis is over simplifying matters as it has done before. Often they're like the primary school explanation of the episode and don't contain any of the depth. I can see it being more along the lines of the sisters wanting to quash any opposition to them.
