So, I really hope this is not too bad.He is about to rush his horse forward to follow Arthur back to Camelot when he, basically, decided this is seriously stupid. If Arthur expects that no one ever finds about his and Gwaine help on the quest, it’ll make no sense (no matter the excuse) that they arrive together. In a second decision, he turns around and pushes his horse fast down the opposite way. He doesn’t wonder why he is doing it, other than mere excuses and delaying the real good bye, it just seems in that moment like a good plan. He’ll deal with Arthur later. He can always deal with Arthur later
