Autumn Garden

Why do I get a wild bug up my butt to do serious gardening when the weather is most inhospitable?  Last time it was like 100 degrees outside, this time it was raining.  *shrug*

Thank you! It's not too hard if you have a strong back and are willing to just clear plots out and start fresh. I'm in love with tall ornamental grasses though...they look so exotic and are basically maintenance free.

Thanks! I'm finding this kind of garden really suits my need to simplify. Everything is kind of clean and Zen, with the rocks and the colored mulch.

We're kind of opposites :) I like to have wide open spaces in my house, cute and personal but with an element of zen sparseness, but a PACKED garden, and you like a cozy house with lots of personal stuff but a sparse garden. Hee hee. How is it that we get along, again? Oh yeah, we're just darling, that's what it is. ;D

You got SB25 yesterday, right? Mine is supposed to arrive around lunch :D WHEEEE!

Now I REALLY need to start organizing my craft stuff. Though I'm gonna put it off again for a while at least because I seriously gotta pee. (Drank the whole water bottle while on the trainer, now I'm sloshy.)

Yes!! Thank you! SB arrived and I thought it was such a super-cute issue! Chocolates! Smooching! ^___^" Adorable! My favorite issues are the ones with odd cultural customs and references. Ren even explained the whole weirdness ~I~ noticed in Japan; they hardly touch each other but I got grabbed and hugged and kissed by all the Japanese cast at that theater production. Which was great 'cause they were all ~fine~, you know? ;-) But still yeah...it always confused me. Such a unique culture with so many weird rules and exceptions.

I'm so glad you are doing better!! We still have to talk about me coming up there. I have things to give you. ^_^

Oh! Also, I think I will slooooowly be filling my garden in with more clumps of ornamental grass, now that I know how to plant it and what to buy. That clump I bought in June is doing really well, and I found out it is Shenandoah switch grass (which is very hardy and will continue to grow) so now I'm encouraged to add more...probably next year when I have a better choice of varieties ( ... )
