SIGN - Brown Eyed Girls (TegoshixSubaru, Massu)
Author’s notes: Err, another BEG song? Hahaha, nyurrrrr, my Itunes loves Brown Eyed Girls lately. I dunno know why. And I attempted to do TegoxSubaru but it kinda turned out like this. Put Massu into the mix and dwalah~! I put up the translations of SIGN so that you would understand as to why I had to write it like this. LOLOL.
“Reports of the missing idol, Tegoshi Yuya, have surfaced after his agency has been trying to locate him. He was last seen 6 weeks ago, and up to now, the police are baffled as to what happened to him….”
Massu stared at the television screen. He had been trying to reach Tegoshi for the past few weeks. He tried to visit his parents’ place in Kanagawa. He was only met by his very worried parents. He had been trying to have his apartment in Tokyo unlocked so he could find more clues to his disappearance. No such luck. Fear had begun to creep in. It was unusual for Tegoshi to go away without prior notice. Usually, he’d tell their manager if he had any plans to have a short vacation. Their manager was also mystified when Tegoshi had stopped going to his drama shoots. Even the other NEWS members were starting to have queasy thoughts about his sudden disappearance.
Massu’s loud cellphone ringing brought him back to reality. A surge of hope arose, thinking it might Tegoshi who was calling him. Instead, he furrowed his eyebrows at the unfamiliar number.
“Moshi, moshi?” Massu asked uncertainly. There were lots of static in the background.
“Ma-massu, is-----is that you?” a familiar yet fearful voice asked.
“Who’s this?” Massu had a hard time listening. Then, he suddenly tensed up. “Yuya, is that you? Where are you?”
“Ma----ssu. I can’t hear you..Massu, help…Massu, please find me…” The line kept crackling then it went dead. Panic set in as he tried to call again the number. The line was busy. His hands shook as he called Koyama.
“Koyama!” Massu shouted as soon as his bandmate picked up. “Yuya..Yuya is in trouble!”
“What?! How did you….shit, let’s call our manager!” Koyama said agitatedly.
“Tell him not to disclose this yet to the police. Yuya might be in real danger, I don’t wanna jeopardize his life.” Massu said.
“But, Massu, you can’t do this alone,” Koyama reasoned, “We’ll need the help of the police.”
Massu did not listen anymore, he was determined to find Tegoshi no matter what. He ended the call, primed to search for his friend. He didn’t care where in the world Tegoshi was being kept hidden.He tried again to contact the unknown number. It went through.
“Hello, Yuya, hello?!” Massu asked urgently. “Yuya, answer me! Where are you!”
He heard the phone being thrown to the floor. Then Tegoshi’s cries came through. Massu’s alarm grew in epic proportions as it came to his senses that Tegoshi was being tortured. “Yuya, Yuya!!!!!” Massu yelled.
He heard another person’s voice, laughing maniacally as Tegoshi screamed loudly in fear.
“SHIBUTANI-KUN, PLEASE STOP!!! IT HURTS!!” At Tegoshi’s words, Massu stopped in his tracks. What in the world was Subaru trying to do to his friend?
“Shibutani-kun, can you hear me?” Massu persisted. “Shibutani-kun, what are you doing with Tegoshi? Shibutani-kun?!”
No one answered as Tegoshi’s cries were heard in the background. Massu needed to act fast. He had no idea as to why Shibutani-kun was doing this. Shibutani-kun never showed any signs of violence before. And why Tegoshi of all people? He was about to hang up and call the police directly to have the unknown number tracked down when he heard the phone being picked up.
“Ne, Masuda-kun?” a hoarse, deranged voice spoke. Massu gripped the phone tighter. “Say your last good-byes to Yuya-chan, ne?”
“Shibutani-kun, what are you planning to do…?” Massu asked frantically. The next thing he heard was Tegoshi’s ragged breathing in the phone. “Massu…Massu! HELP ME! MASSU!!” Those were the last words that Massu heard before the line went dead.
The next day, Japan woke up to a staggering news, shocking the entertainment world and fans alike. Tegoshi Yuya was found dead beside the Tone River in Chiba. Shibutani Subaru vanished without a trace.
