Weeeek - NEWS (TegoshixOhno, AU)
Author's Notes: I was supposed to post that Aiba/Taguchi/Maruyama one but I decided to change my mind instead. Well, this is um, a bit of a fluff. LOL. Tell me what you think. And yes, I've been writing for the past few days but lemme just tell you that I don't owen the characters/celebrities/whatever. ever. OK? *LOL FOR SUCH A DISCLAIMER*
Another boring day, another boring week, thought Ohno Satoshi as he was grudgingly getting ready for work that morning. He had been working for the same, wretched company for 3 years and yet he felt as if he hadn’t grown professionally in his chosen field as an associate for the HR management of one of Tokyo’s top consultancy firms. He did not foresee that something would happen that morning.
“Ohno-kun, you have been transferred to a different boss.” His now former boss informed him as soon as he got in the office. “Start gathering your things and I’ll introduce you to him after.” Ohno nodded, dispassionately. He was sure his new boss would be as annoying as his former boss.
So when Ohno was formally introduced to his new boss, he couldn’t hide his amusement and disbelief. Was this really his new boss?
“Hello, Ohno-kun, Nice to meet you!” his new boss gave him a blinding smile. “I’m so happy to have you under my helm now. My name’s Tegoshi Yuya, just call me Tegoshi-kun okay?”
Ohno noted the effeminate features, that smile he often saw from J-pop idols and the curly hair which clearly defied the strict and dull fashion sense of most of the employees. Ohno thought that the immaculate, three-piece business attire oddly suited his boss.
“Ohno-kun? Are you alright?” Tegoshi broke his reverie. “Is there something wrong with you?”
“No-no, boss, I mean, Tegoshi-kun.” Ohno tried to smile. “Nothing’s wrong.” Ohno strained to think. “I’m sorry, My name is Ohno Satoshi, Boss, I mean, Tegoshi-kun. Please take care of me from now on.” Ohno proceeded to do the customary bow as Tegoshi smiled even wider.
The days passed, and Ohno gradually started liking waking up in the mornings. He began to appreciate the beauty of the things surrounding him, from the sun’s rays passing through his windows to the towering spires of the financial district of Shibuya. He started to look forward to the rare times when Tegoshi would pop his head in the door, asking him demurely if he could make a nice, hot cup of coffee for him. The workload given to him was still keeping him stressed but Ohno felt he could endure it all with the help of his lovely boss. His boss who was so kind and very attuned to the needs of their team. Ohno thought that it was unusual to have a boss like that. He wouldn’t agree to being transferred ever again.
So when Tegoshi asked Ohno for drinks after a long day’s work, Ohno delightedly agreed. He wouldn’t miss this for anything else. He was more than happy to share drinks, gossip and stories with Tegoshi, whom he had already considered as someone very special. They went to this restobar that his boss frequented, ordering beer and finger foods. They were at their 7th bottle, when Tegoshi, now drunk as Ohno never seen before, clutched his arm and said in a slurred speech, “Ne, Ohno-kun, you wouldn’t leave the team, right?”
Ohno hid his amusement as he nodded his head solemnly. “No, I wouldn’t leave you boss.”
“It’s TEGOSHI-KUN! TEGOSHI-KUN!” Tegoshi’s head lolled at the side. Then he sat up straight, then winked at Ohno befuddledly.
“I love you, Ohno-kun, I really do.” Tegoshi had this intoxicated smile on his face. He leaned forward, kissed Ohno on the cheek and passed out. The bartender laughed at them good-naturedly. Ohno just smirked at him. He regarded Tegoshi’s sleeping form for a moment.
“I love you too, boss.” Then Ohno smiled to himself. “I love you too, Yuya-san.”
