[It wasn't just the strange architecture and unkempt appearance of this place, nor the empty streets and void of bustling city sounds that Altaïr was alert to. The buildings weren't tall enough here, there were few good vantage points for his purposes, and from what he could tell no good places for Leaps of Faith. This was not a town with an

That's really difficult to do, you know.
[Being human, Asato can understand the frustration with trying to climb up a wall, in the sense that it's...basically impossible, at least for him. Maybe once this transformation wore off, if it ever did, he could once again be adept at it.
He just stares at the man from a slight distance, head tilted just a bit in curiosity. This one looks different too; all the different time periods produce an interesting mix of people (and animals!), none of whom he's ever seen before in his life. Asato can't make any solid judgments based on this one's attire, and since he hasn't spoken, he can't clue in from there, either. The closest would be Cesare, the strange one who wanted to go roaming to Rome and needed city birds to send his messages to his family in...what was it...Italy?]

For some, yes.
[With the implication that it is decidedly not difficult at all for him.]

Are you a cat?
[He can't tell if ears are hidde below the hood, but he's curious. The word comes out translated from Ribikan into the universal Meridian tongue, but it holds the implication that he isn't just talking about a housecat.]

[Altaïr dropped to the ground and turned to face the man, taking a quick glance up and down the street to see if anyone else was around. He balled his fists and lowered his head slightly. He wanted to ask where he was but would that not seem suspicious, to not know where one was? Maybe he could find out more subtly.]
Do you live around here?

His walk slows the closer he gets and Altaïr stops completely when he notices that something is very off about this person. If it is even a person at all. Immediately his muscles tense in his left forearm, the Hidden Blade in his bracer sliding out silently where his ring-finger should have been, shadowed eyes locked on to his target. He waits for the devil to make the first move.]

He set his jaw and took measured steps closer. Altaïr glanced at the edge of the building but decided it would be too noisy and take too long to come up from a better vantage point to attempt an assassination.
The direct approach then. With a rush he at once brings his left arm back, makes a running jump, and aims the Hidden Blade for the head of the hideous beast.]

Ezio stalks out the store with a brown paper bag filled with a few fruit that taste alright, not like they're suppose to; ie, orange tastes like bananas, strawberries that taste like blueberries, but that's alright. He can deal with that.
He took a step in the store when he spotted something out of the corner of his eye that was ghostly unsettling. assassin?!? Ezio turned his head but the alley swallowed up the vision of the passing figure. The Italian made a face and shook his head, if he was here.. would it not be possible ( ... )

He says nothing when he notices the white hood, but he does tilt his head up slightly so as to see better from under his own white hood. His golden-brown eyes drop to the man's ornate belt.
The symbol, the red sash.
Altaïr relaxes his hand away from the knife and slowly turns to face him.]

This could not be. Yet he was willing to believe.]
