[It wasn't just the strange architecture and unkempt appearance of this place, nor the empty streets and void of bustling city sounds that Altaïr was alert to. The buildings weren't tall enough here, there were few good vantage points for his purposes, and from what he could tell no good places for Leaps of Faith. This was not a town with an Assassin's Bureau in it nor much, if any, activity from the Brotherhood.
He would progress assuming he was in hostile territory and alone. The first thing was to find a place of safety and peace to operate from and then to gather information. Altaïr walked with a quick pace and purpose through the streets, looking in on every building he came to but none were satisfactory. They were all too foreign.]
