As promised, calling Opportunity shenanigans! warriorscribe October 25 2011, 20:59:14 UTC
*Enoch hadn't noticed the mark on his shoulder when he'd dismissed his armor to sleep last night. Even if he had, he wouldn't have linked it to this particular find, to being in the exact right place at the right time.

As he sees the shape of a body on the sand, his walk picks up into a jog, and then into a run as he sees the white hair and long black tail. He was on his way to fight Armaros, but...not like this. Seeing his old friend this way...

Enoch skids to a stop a little ways away, dropping to kneel beside him. Gently, he takes the Grigori's shoulders and turns him over. What on Earth could have happened to him...?*

[As soon as Armaros is turned over, he squints and then covers his eyes with his hand, letting out a quiet but odd-sounding groan.

It's so bright out.]

*He wonders what he would have done had this encounter been in Armaros's caves, with his angelic guides there to urge him to fight. For the first time in the several hours he'd been here, he was glad for their absence.

Enoch leans forward to try and block the sunlight a little (if it doesn't just reflect right off his armor.)* Armaros...what happened to you?

[...That voice. No way. Enoch?!

Armaros is going to just stare at him in utter disbelief now that the sun's out of his face.]

[ Oh, Alice loves looking at all the curious sort of things that wash up on the shore after the high tide. Even if it's just something as simple as seashells, she can already marvel at them for ages if she feels like it.

... Today is a little bit different though, as there's a person lying on the sand. She's.. not entirely sure if this is normal - it probably isn't, is it? - but then she takes a few quick steps over, staring down at him curiously. ]

... Are you alright?

smoothangel October 26 2011, 17:29:30 UTC
[No, that's not normal at all!

The other abnormal thing is the black, wiry 'tail' that's sticking out of his back. There are a boatload of other abnormal things about this...'man' that will crop up soon enough, but that tail is the most visually obvious. For now.

At any rate, he lets out a small groan and manages to raise his head, then look up and squint at whoever is talking. He gives a small nod but he doesn't look okay at all.]

[ Well, he nodded, that's okay. But he doesn't look okay. (The abnormal things don't really look all that abnormal to her, really - she's used to worse.

She squats down to be on his level, frowning a bit in worry. ]

Are you sure? Do you need help?

[Armaros isn't sure, actually. But he probably shouldn't be getting humans involved with him again. Considering all that happened last time. And what if Heaven notices and finds him?

So he shakes his head and attempts to sit up. The key word being 'attempts'. Try as he might, his arms are too shakey and tired to hoist him into a sitting position, and he falls back on the sand with a soft thunk.

...Okay, maybe he does need help. Feel free to ignore his protests.]

[Raf is contemplating trying to see if the ocean could be crossed in a boat or swam when he sees the man on the shore. Raf walks quickly to his side, bending beside him to help the man flip over.]

Is there anything you're in immediate need of?

[Because clearly asking if he was okay was entirely pointless.]

[While he's helping this gentleman with that, mind that odd, wiry tail on his upper back. It's a bit sensitive, y'see.

As soon as he's on his back, the man squints in the sunlight and starts trying to brush the sand out of his face. He's not talking, but his body is shivering, so perhaps clothing would be a good idea?

Also medical attention, but him mentioning that is in the same pointless realm of being asked 'Are you okay?' so yeah.]

[Raf has a jacket he can give the man, but having done that he doesn't think giving up his trousers would be very practical. The tail is...very unusual, but Raf doesn't think too much of it. He's seen stranger things.]

They've theoretically built a hospital on the west side of the city. If you can get to there. I can't.

[Raf checks the man's pulse, carefully.]

[He huddles himself into the jacket, apparently thankful. And to be fair, his tail is the least weird thing about him.]

...Ahh?

[The man squints at Raf, like he wants to ask something but can't quite manage.

His pulse seems to be fine, if slightly elevated.]

[Yep, that sure is a person down on the beach, looking all washed-up and in need of assistance. Souji jogs on down, ready to help.]

Hello? Are you OK?

smoothangel October 26 2011, 18:58:16 UTC
[Oh hello Souji. Please give him a minute while he finally manages to flip himself over...before covering his face at the sun. Ow.

He does nod at the question, but he doesn't look okay at all.]

[Yeah, not buying it.]

Can I help you?

[Well, hold on. The man attempts to sit up, then finally opens his eyes and looks around, starting at the ocean that he apparently just came from.

He's not ignoring Souji, though, because he stares at the teenager after spacing off for a bit. But he's not talking...]

[THAT SMELLS LIKE A BODY! She has to conduct a full investigation.

Sadly she does not have her forensics team with her. But that is okay! Because the victim appears to still be alive!

She will just casually help him get over on his back with one of her feet, planting her cane in the sand next to his head where it's in easy reach.]

Haha, how was your swim?

[His swim was pretty okay. Too bad he was barely conscious for it.

The human(???) lets out an odd-sounding groan and squints at...at.

At whatever this humanoid kid is.]

Do you talk, Mr. Blue Razzberry Snowcone? [Casually poking him in the throat, because 1) that's got to be irritating as fuck, and 2) because it's irritating as fuck, he's likely to say something and tell her to stop if he can! And if he can't oh well.] If you die I'm not reviving you, so you'd better speak up before I decide this is boring and leave you here! Your corpse would be so much more interesting to investigate.

[What the heck is she doing? Stop that!

Stop that right now! Stop-okay, know what?

He grabs at the cane really quick and snatches it from her. He then uses it to help himself into a sitting position, looking irritated. It was all done without talking, but that's probably a way for him to 'speak up', right?

At least he didn't break it. He even holds the cane out to her again so she can take it.]
