As promised, calling Opportunity shenanigans! warriorscribe October 25 2011, 20:59:14 UTC
*Enoch hadn't noticed the mark on his shoulder when he'd dismissed his armor to sleep last night. Even if he had, he wouldn't have linked it to this particular find, to being in the exact right place at the right time.

As he sees the shape of a body on the sand, his walk picks up into a jog, and then into a run as he sees the white hair and long black tail. He was on his way to fight Armaros, but...not like this. Seeing his old friend this way...

Enoch skids to a stop a little ways away, dropping to kneel beside him. Gently, he takes the Grigori's shoulders and turns him over. What on Earth could have happened to him...?*

[As soon as Armaros is turned over, he squints and then covers his eyes with his hand, letting out a quiet but odd-sounding groan.

It's so bright out.]

*He wonders what he would have done had this encounter been in Armaros's caves, with his angelic guides there to urge him to fight. For the first time in the several hours he'd been here, he was glad for their absence.

Enoch leans forward to try and block the sunlight a little (if it doesn't just reflect right off his armor.)* Armaros...what happened to you?

[...That voice. No way. Enoch?!

Armaros is going to just stare at him in utter disbelief now that the sun's out of his face.]

*Whatever happened, he must be in shock... Enoch doesn't know if he can be safely moved...but he'll need food and warmth, that much he does know. So he gently lifts Armaros's shoulders to sit him up, slowly, watching for signs of distress.

For now, the prospect of battle is forgotten. Armaros needs help. That's what matters.*

[Well, the good news is that he seems to be doing okay with sitting up. His breathing might be a little labored and at first he holds his head due to...dizziness? Couldn't be. That surely wouldn't be the case for Armaros. But after whatever-that-was is settled, he does try to look around, so at least he might be lucid?

The bad news is he is still not talking.]

...Armaros? *Dizziness in an angel, and not talking...is he sick? Enoch reaches out to check him for fever.*

[He's not sick. In fact, while Enoch does that, Armaros is just going to give him this look, as if the idea of angels getting fevers is an incredibly silly concept.]

*Enoch lets his hand fall from Armaros's forehead. He's definitely lucid if that look was any indication. But why isn't he talking? A result of injury? No, no scars on his throat that he can see. Shock?* What's wrong? Why aren't you talking?

[Er. What...what does he mean? Doesn't Enoch know this? He is pretty sure that Enoch is supposed to know this!]

A-Ahh.

[That's the only sound that comes out of Armaros' mouth before he thinks better of it, then reaches around and grabs his tail, having Enoch look at it.

It's really the closest way he can say that it's the Fall's fault. Still, it's odd that Enoch forgot. One would think that would be easy to remember.]

You can't? *Enoch reaches out to touch the tail briefly. The tail that...he has as a Fallen Angel.* ...The fall?

[Armaros nods and lets his tail drop. Yeah.

The more important question here, though, is how Enoch forgot this. They literally just saw each other like...er. Actually, how long ago was that last fight? He wants to take a shot at guessing it was a couple of hours ago, and yet he'd probably be wrong, so. Um.

The next hurdle to get over is how to ask these Important Questions.]

*Enoch would be content to let the Watcher sit and think, but...not in this state. He needs to be taken care of. Food, clean water, clothing, shelter...he has yet to see any of this, but this place is designed to live in and has some people in it, so...*

...Let's find some food and clothing. Can you stand?

[Sure, he can try. Armaros uses Enoch as leverage, finally standing up on wobbly legs.

There are like several things wrong with that previous sentence. His legs shouldn't be wobbling for one.

They just shouldn't.]

*Enoch stands with him to help him with that. ...Yeah, it's clear he's in bad shape, whatever happened. It couldn't have been the fall, could it? The other Fallen Angels didn't seem like this. He keeps a hand on Armaros's shoulder to steady him.*

What could have done this to you? *Enoch is giving him a worried look.* If you need to be carried, let me know.

[Hah. He shakes his head and attempts to laugh (while nothing comes out) because really.

The image he has in his head of Enoch carrying him around like he's a bride or something is just too funny, even given the circumstances.]
