My mother, a nurse, had a ceu lecture recently about how nurses need to understand customer service. It sounds like your dr's office needs to see that lecture.

Made an appointment like 2 weeks or so in advance. Show up, go to check in.

Indifferent Receptionist Person" "Dr. Razumsfrash is off delivering a baby."

Me: "Oooookay. Then who am I seeing?"

IRP: "No one has time to see you today. We can reschedule."

Me: "Uh, wait, no one is covering for the doc I signed up with? Isn't delivering a baby something you have some kind of, you know, notice of?"

IRP: *glower*
