1. Metric's new album Synthetica is out on Tuesday and aaaaah, I love it (maybe not as much as Fantasies, but still). It can be streamed at their website and I am all hearts-in-eyes about the opening to Artificial Nocturne. I tried to get tickets to the invite-only show Tuesday in Toronto with my trivia knowledge, but failed. ALAS ( Read more... )

Most cats are Lokis. Finding a Loki cat shouldn't be too much of an issue; it's the living with a Loki cat that becomes problematic. *cuddle cuddle purr I MUST KILL EVERYONE IN THE WORLD nap*

6. There is a tiny town in Northern Minnesota, right on Lake Superior, named CASTLE DANGER. No one knows why. When driving along the north coast of Lake Superior, there is just one small sign that declares "Castle Danger, 5 miles". (random knowledge from my trip to Wisconsin years and years ago). I want to name a band after that. Or set Supernatural fanfiction there.

Clearly, I need to learn how to rock, because all of the band names I want to lay claim to require way more skill than "sort of playing acoustic guitar". I still want to make a nerd-metal band, just to name it Calibrated for Evil.

RIGHT? Which makes Max somewhat remarkable, I find, since his personality is so... very. Very.

Living with a Thor-cat is also a trial. Galloping about disarranging things with great enthusiasm and ATTACKS IN THE NIGHT and love-mauling etc.

6. What is so dangerous about this castle? It might need Sam and Dean, for sure.

(There is a "town" (four-corners-nothing) near where my dad grew up called Pain Court. Kinky.)

Calibrated for Evil.

Fuck, forget Night Danger, this is what we are doing. :D

At least you know Thor-cat has good intentions, no matter what he destroys. Loki-cat, nope. He doesn't even know his intentions, but they are probably evil.

6. Or is it dangerous TO castles? Like "do not put a castle here. It will be knocked down by monsters! All other buildings okay" . Or is it the project some eccentric 1920's millionaire who left Chicago to build a hulking stone house overlooking the lake, and named it Castle Danger to keep meddling kids away. (Scooby Doo AU)

Calibrated for Evil is actually a quote from a very bad ep of The Mentalist, in which there was "science" and some fake experiments about being able to tweak people's responses to make them more or less likely to do bad things. Really dumb, but the whole thing was worthwhile for the moment in which one character shouts out:

"COME BACK. YOU ARE CALIBRATED FOR EVIL!"

First album by Calibrated for Evil: RiSS: Robots in Satan's Service.

2. well, i for one am convinced. (the adorableness of the argument helps...)

Going on quests to places he probably shouldn't.

...inside the apartment?

6. i will be in your band! if i can adopt a "germanic" spelling of my stage name that makes no sense in actual german.

2. ...inside the apartment?

Aye. Onto the clothes hanger which cannot possibly support his weight. Into the pots and pans cupboards (possibly to do battle with the blender). Head first into the fridge. Out into the hallway. Into the bathtub to bat razors around. Into and on any available boxes, which, like the hanger, often cannot withstand all that majesty (watching Max do the 'I meant to do that' walk is full of lulz, though.)

6.Absolutely. Ridiculous naming conventions are encouraged.
