Cas didn't fall, he just fell out with Dean when he found out that Cas was working with Crowley. Dean laid on the guilt (IN A VERY HYPOCRITICAL FASHION I MIGHT ADD) and basically gave Cas the ultimatum, but Cas doesn't know how to weigh listening to Dean vs. saving Dean/the world, just like anyone on this show.
Manpain abounds. It's very sad. It's like the Dean-Sam rift 2.0... only worse because for some reason I fear even more for Cas' chances when he's adrift than for the co-dependent Winchesters.
Then Cas sat on a bench and asked God for any kind of sign he was heading in the right direction... and got nothing. ;_;
Dean has, like, negative self-access. If there's a cross nearby, he will carry it even if no one wanted it moved.
I mean, Cas was being a total sketchball and made some poor judgments, but way to be understanding of other people's desperate actions, there guys.
Winchesters: inappropriate judges of appropriate decision-making since ever.
Also, note that Dean offered no workable alternative other than "just don't or you're sleeping on the couch." Thanks, Dean, but how again are we preventing Raphael from deep-frying the planet? You always had a poor grasp of the big picture when there was something to AngstTM about, but c'mon.
OH MY GOD, THIS EPISODE. CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS. Augh, so many LOOKS between him and Dean near the end there and just... DEAN. He's doing that whole patented John Winchester "I love you, so that means you have to do what I say" thing. DAMMIT, Winchesters.
THIS EP MADE ME HAVE SO MANY ~FEELINGS, OKAY. CAAAAAAAAS. And Dean is just. Bless him, he's such a failhead. Hasn't he learned ANYTHING about dealing with the terminally stubborn? idek
