Yes, when neal showed him the hand. Neal was all about the ring and Peter just didn't tell him it wasn't particularly identifying, which is def. confirmed the intel about the guy being an agent...?
Basically they left it like that for the purposes of getting Neal v. suspicious, but really now...
Well, and also, I have a hard time believing that Mozzie couldn't have tracked down details of the ring, if they're that common. I mean, Mozzie is magic! *handwaves wildly, la la la*
It IS a pretty distinctive man-ring. Of course maybe the resolution of the picture wasn't good enough to really see it. For real Mozzie could have checked it out, though.
I am SUCH an OT3 kind of girl, I really should love this show. I watched 1.02 and was not really taken in; might be time to give it another whirl. Everyone on my flist makes it sound like such wonderful fun!
I quite enjoyed the pilot ep, but 1x02 was kind of meh. Give it another try! You can't ever expect much from the cases -- the show is mostly about Peter and Neal being kind of ridiculous about each other and Elizabeth being amused by that. ♥ ♥ ♥ The show just ships everybody SO HARD.

"A lot of us have those rings!" Sure! But you didn't decide to tell Neal what it was when he showed you the picture?
I assume you mean the second time, yes, once Neal actually showed the part with the ring? ;P

I'm pretty sure if the show gets any slashier the OT3 will become actual canon.
