I read about a third of the first book, knowing nothing about it except: vampires! pretty cover! For the life of me I could not get any further into it because Bella = SO ANNOYING. The would-be snarky narration, the total lack of thought put into world-building, and, most importantly the fact that NOTHING HAPPENS for hundreds of pages. Sheesh.

I'm almost tempted to pick up Breaking Dawn just to read the infamous childbirth stuff, but...no, I don't think I need to break my brain that much.

I loooove that first comic. I didn't even know anything about the books when I first saw it and I looooooooooooled. Never seen the second one, though! :O
