They problem with losing weight is that you burn less calories the less you weigh. I suppose this explains the plateau effect. And I can't remember if DDR accounts for weight or not. :-/

biking - 10 miles - 435 calories

Two pounds down... thirty-eight more to go. And I still need to develop rider's butt. Ow.

Invest in a new bike seat. You will be sooooo glad that you did. I love my wide, cushy bike seat. Josh got it at Sport's Authortity, but I'm sure they have them at any sporting goods store.

And, hang in there! Losing weight slow and steady is a good sign that you'll keep it off. You're doing great and you've given yourself plenty of time to lose the weight.

Adding weights will also up your metabolism and help you bust through a plateau. Look into a program called ChaLEAN Extreme. I ordered mine from beachbody.com, but I'm sure you could find it on Amazon or Ebay.

I will see if I can find some of my progress pics that I took earlier this year. Its a 12 week program and I made it through 10 weeks before I had to stop because of an unrelated injury. I saw a big difference in my pictures, but I didn't lose a single pound! Weird, I know.

I just started the program back up again. I'm on week 3. You will need some free weights or bands, though. I use 5, 8, 10 and 12 pound weights.

Fortunately, K has a free weight set, we just need to get all the pieces in one place again. And I have my mother's total gym in the basement, I just need to use it. :-)

I might look into that but for the moment (being unemployed and all) I want to stick to not spending money on a program... Maybe when I'm making money again. Thanks, though!

I did invest in a cushion for my current bike seat. It's a vast improvement over what I had before. But I still need to get used to riding a bike. It doesn't help that my bike is a beast and takes massive amounts of effort to get to a comfortable pace. Meanwhile, K can do laps around me because he invested in a very nice bike the beginning of the summer. I'm so jealous of him. *L*

I'm going to start hitting the gym again with a friend of mine which will also add weights to my routine. YAY!

Now, to the shower!
