I was hoping for a visit from the funny Spaiku fairy, but apparently all the downers I've been taking for my back wanted me to write these instead. Oh well. Here's handful of haiku from BtVS S7 episodes "Never Leave Me," "Bring on the Night," and "Showtime."
Pairing: Spike/Buffy.
Rating: PG.

These are SO lovely. They bring back all the emotions that season 7 Spike raised...
I am constantly amazed how you can construct a concrete image using these tight parameters. Specially liked #4 and the individual line and wraparound complexity.
hope you are feeling stronger

I seem to be slowly improving. *fingers crossed* Hope you have a great weekend.

I really think you capture the essence of Spike in your haiku.
I like it enough that I featured it in my journal last week for my Saturday Seconds feature for Poetry Month. Everyday, I'm posting a poem and on Saturdays there're extra goodies.
I think tomorrow will showcase our beloved bloody awful poet himself, if I can find the poem he wrote for Cecily.
Anyways, I'm really enjoying your Spaiku! I look forward to reading more!

Wow! You just made my afternoon. I'm so flattered that you included Spaiku in your post!
I'm really glad to hear that you're enjoying them. I don't always remember to post them at spike_fics, but if you click on the "spaiku" tag in my journal, you might find some you haven't seen.
P.S. My husband pulled the audio for "Ode to Cecily" off of NFA and put it on my ipod. I'd be happy to transcribe it and send it to you when I get home. Just lemme know. :)

I did a google on it and found it right away; fandom is awesome that way! I might have to see if I can pull it off my own copy of NFA and try to post a sound file.
I finally got around to watching NFA today for the first time. I'm a late comer to Buffy; I sort of wandered in through Firefly and then tore through Buffy last year and loved it!
I've struggled through Angel, needing to take several breaks because I think the last couple of seasons took some bizarre turns and I just couldn't watch it all in one fell swoop. My favorite seasons of Angel are the second and third.
Anyway, I look forward to more Spaiku! Take care!

Me too. Better late to the Buffy buffet than never, right?
AtS S4 is wacky! Breaks are a good thing.
Happy Friday to you. Glad you found the bloody awful poem.
