Spaiku.

I was hoping for a visit from the funny Spaiku fairy, but apparently all the downers I've been taking for my back wanted me to write these instead. Oh well. Here's handful of haiku from BtVS S7 episodes "Never Leave Me," "Bring on the Night," and "Showtime."
Pairing: Spike/Buffy.
Rating: PG.

She knows: he endured
every insult to his flesh
because she believes.

These are all excellent but the last one really speaks of Season Seven to me. Because IMO that's what drives Spike during those last days in Sunnydale.

Oh, thank you. I'm so glad that came through. No one's ever believed in Spike before this, have they?

S7 Spike makes me all sniffley. He needs a big hug!

Oh, my goodness! You made me misty eyed with these! They're perfect, powerful enough that I can not only envision each of those scenes, but I can see the expressions on his face. GAH!

Wonderful, exceptional work, mere.

Wow. *blushes* Thanks so much, beans! Your feedback means a lot to me. I wrestled and tinkered with these and almost abandoned them, so I'm very pleased that they spoke to you. (Moral: listen to the beta.) :D

Thank you! Glad they worked for you.

I try to do several at a time if at all possible, because I feel kind of doofus-y when I throw one out there all by itself. (Look--I wrote seventeen syllables! Alert the media!) :D
