Oh poor Lou...she's still suffering the aftermath of what happened to Teaspoon. But I can't really blame her, she's already lost her mother, and then she risked to lose the only father she has ever know first because of Boggs and then because of Teaspoon's wounds. I can understand why she hasn't overcome her fears yet. Our little Lou still has a lot of issues to address!

Teaspoon made a big sacrifice for Lou's sake, renouncing to do what he loved; but it's true that -even if Birch Creek isn't a dangerous town - being a cop on active duty is still more risky than having a desk job therefore, no matter how many reassurances Teaspoon would give Lou, the little girl knows he won't be as safe as she need him to be.

Thank you, Paola. I tried to show how important Lou and Teaspoon are for each other. Lou only has Teaspoon, and Teaspoon only has Lou, so they are aware how important it is to stick to each other.

This change in Teaspoon's job will bring something new too, which we'll get a glimpse of in the next chapter.

Thank you

I can't imagine what it would be like as a child to lose one parent and then have your world pulled apart, threatening your security. Lou's response is totally understandable. Teaspoon is a good father to see that she is struggling and making changes to help her out.

I agree with you. What Lou has already lived through is shaping her, and that is why she often appears so insecure. Thankfully, she has Teaspoon, who is the pillar that she can lean on.

Thanks a lot, Kim

glad Teaspoon made the right decision. as parents we need to change the way of life we were accustomed to before the children arrived, and that sometimes includes our work, weather it's too risky, or just takes a lot of hours. It's even more important when you're a single parent, like Teaspoon is.

Thank you for sharing this story, Mercy.
