Marvelous. The characterization was spot-on. There were maybe a few places where the wording was hairy, but there were some absolutely lovely quotes that more than made up for it. And I simply have to repeat my favorites here: “Oh, so you acknowledge it now? Good, Kaoru, I’m glad I wasn’t just a one-night sort of thing that you couldn’t find it in yourself to remember happened.” and Hikaru grinned. He wanted it to be loud.

The light bits of humor worked well to offset the Kaoru!Angst. And go Haruhi.

The ending was indeed a tad abrupt; it feels almost like it could be continued--but since when did life ever have a resolution with all the loose ends tied neatly up? ^_^

But now I really, really want Hikaru to damn reason and common sense and just say it. Kaoru does too, he's just in denial. And I'll love you forever if you write it.

Yes, the ending was abrupt. I read it over and over and for some reason I just didn't want anything to be truly settled. I could just be a sadist, I don't know. xD

Hmm. It'd be nice if Hikaru could reason and use common sense, but it seems he's a little short in supply. xD Ah, that's what we love about him. And of course Kaoru does! Because he loves Hikaru. :3

This was supposed to be the conclusion to my other HikaKao fic, but I guess it just...added on to it and didn't actually conclude anything. xD Oh well. Thank you very much for the review!

I did read your other fic, and that reminds me of one thing I was going to say, which is that it did in fact flow nicely as a continuation of the first; it didn't feel stretched or forced too far. And the confrontation between the two, even if they didn't hammer out all the details of their relationship, was very important. ^_^

(Don't feel bad about the few rough spots or miswordings, there weren't really that many. And had I been a meticulous reviewer, I would have remembered where they were and noted them. Then again, I'm routinely found to use that as an excuse to go back and reread a fic I liked. ^_^)

Yeah, that ending isn't quite there, but the thing you have to consider is, how was it supposed to end?

Anyway, that aside, the sex was fantastic, and the events that led up to everything was very, very well written. I really loved it. Amazing!
