Recently, I've been watching Moonlight on CBS after Ghost Whisperer. It's about Mick St. John, a vampire detective who was turned by his wife on their wedding night. Years later she kidnapped a girl saying they could finally be a family. Mick rescued the girl and killed his wife in fiery fashion knowing she had gone too far. Now, 22 years later

I've been watching the show since the first episode, but it took me a few weeks to notice the similarities in names, because I'm oblivious like that. LOL I don't remember the Johnny Depp mention, though...I must have missed that somehow.

The similarities are eerie, aren't they? My problem is that similarities like that tend to spawn plot bunnies. ;)

The Johnny Depp comment was in the episode before last. It was the in the one with the cult leader.
You just gave me an idea...Josef was alive in the 1600's--that means he could've met Jack!

Another thing that feeds my plot bunnies is that Jack Davenport starred in a miniseries awhile back in which he played a detective who helped fight vampires, and the character had a couple things in common with Norrington. Between that and Moonlight's similarities to PotC, my brain comes up with all sorts of strange stuff.
