Update and moderate cheerfulness

The MRI scan came back normal, having been beamed to Very Important Specialist in Oxford.  Some blood tests which had come out a bit odd were redone and came back normal (Paediatrician Relative reckons there's a dodgy batch of reagents doing the rounds at the moment, but the staff here didn't mention that to us, oddly enough - would never do to ( Read more... )

Good news! A was much happier once he got rid of his cannula.

They had the 'food is only for mothers' policy on my postnatal ward too, on the grounds that partners/carers/etc could trot down to the canteen - and would probably prefer to. Actually the food wasn't bad if you got there when it arrived. Except not being allowed toast because some numpty said it wasn't safe for postnatal women to operate a toaster...
