Things have been hectic lately. I'm finding myself overwhelmed with projects. One or two of these projects are actually mine. The others are all projects that I've been charged with doing for other people or organizations. This, for the most part, is more stressful than it needs to be.

I'm feeling down. It's hard to remain focused on your goals, on positive things, when you're being abruptly halted by roadblocks repeatedly. It's been making me want to give up a bit; not on everything, but on just enough to give those other things a chance to survive. Or thrive, even.

I'm completely exhausted. Between my tiredness and my aching leg, I just may have to take my doctor up on his offer today. Thankfully, my follow up appointment is tomorrow. No more of this wait-and-see approach; it will be time to plan a course of action. Finally.

And I'm down to 197 from 213. I think that's pretty spectacular.

I feel like I'm needing to utilize my online journal again. Though I'm not exactly certain what brought this on, I have decided to listen to my intuition for once. I too often give this particular part of me away to everyone else; I rarely use it for me.

It's time to shed my winter fur. And all these things that hold me back.

As cliche as it might sound, my excursion to San Francisco has given me a whole new perspective on my life. While I have to admit that (in ways) I'm still more fond of New York City than San Francisco, this trip really had an impact on me. I've been sick for the last two days.

Despite that always coming down with something on the weekend is extremely inconvenient when it comes to visiting a doctor, I opted to go to the Urgent Care clinic. Why? Because, while someone might mistake my symptoms for a stomach virus or food poisoning, my instinct said it was something else. That's why.

I am going under the knife tomorrow morning. Again. While I can admit that I am absolutely terrified about going through with the surgery, as the prospect of getting another IV and having to deal with gauze for another two months is extremely unpleasant, I'm hopeful that this one will turn out better than the last.

My feelings haven't changed. Not in any great, substantial way. But, at the very least, I can confidently state that I am finally getting my bearings. In school. In work. In life.

I feel like I'm in an impossible place.

I guess that's pretty typical of me. It's certainly not unusual for me to state that "I'm torn" about something in my life. And that feeling is often the result of my own doing.
