I'm usually not interested in "Rod" stories because I'm still feeling very protective of my Rodney, *g*, but I enjoyed this. I like the idea that Rod actually did envy Rodney and his complete lack of people skills. :)

Thank you very much! I must admit that why I grinned through most of that episode, I kind of grimaced at the way Rodney's faults kept being emphasised just so Rod would look better. :/

I want to comment on th alt-Teyla, who is so much more solemn and restrained than ours, because Tagan didn't die and she didn't become 'leader of her people' and the absolute wonderful touch about her getting pissy when people told her she'd make her father proud. That rang so realistic.

Thank you so very much! I tried to come up with a reason why Teyla, of all people, would be hard to talk to for a 'sociable guy' like Rod. Family issues are always good for that kind of stuff. *coughs*

Wow, that was fantastic! Thank you so much for this - I adore your Rod and how he is and isn't like Rodney. Still so self-absorbed, still a bit clueless, but in a completely different way. And so uncomfortable in his own "cool" skin, in a way our Rodney never is. *cuddles Rod* I love how you work with the contrast between the two 'verses to let Rod learn something about himself and his team, how it brings them closer.

Thank you! I watched the episode twice in a row before I wrote this, and I kept wondering what Rod would bring back from 'our' universe. After all, he got to know a completely different team, if you believe what he told Rodney at the end. And why wouldn't you? ;)
