I can't wait for this month to be over! It has been a series of ups and down that have left me a very dark mood. It all start at the beginning of the month with our project manager all of us overnights together to inform us that our department would eventually be shifting to one third local, and two thirds "Offshore" aka Canada. Man, that does kind of suck. It's nice that they at least communicated the changes somewhat in advance of implementing them. That's not something that's guaranteed and many places don't do it. It makes the tension a bit worse, but allows for some advance planning and stuff.

I'm glad you kept your job though. Still planning on going to Australia?

i know you feel guilty for keeping your own job and i certainly understand, but it really is a good thing. way to go to make the cut. your friends will catch on other places. were they still under contract? there should be compensation if they were. either way, congratulations on your own continuation of employment.

Remind me who thought NAFTA would be good idea. We need to find them and thank them for creating thousands of jobs in everywhere but America.
