Man, that does kind of suck. It's nice that they at least communicated the changes somewhat in advance of implementing them. That's not something that's guaranteed and many places don't do it. It makes the tension a bit worse, but allows for some advance planning and stuff.

I'm glad you kept your job though. Still planning on going to Australia?

i know you feel guilty for keeping your own job and i certainly understand, but it really is a good thing. way to go to make the cut. your friends will catch on other places. were they still under contract? there should be compensation if they were. either way, congratulations on your own continuation of employment.

Remind me who thought NAFTA would be good idea. We need to find them and thank them for creating thousands of jobs in everywhere but America.
