The onsen was scrupulously decorated, the entire garden having been rearranged to allow for outdoor seating. Large banquet tables had been set up on the grounds, with cushions instead of chairs for guests to recline upon. The banquet tables varied in size, some were able to accommodate as many as sixteen whereas others were meant for two or four

It didn't take long for the scent of Sosuke's cooking to reach his nostrils, though, and he was soon joining the rest of the guests in approaching the food table with eager fingers.
((Say hi to him when he's walking around, say hi to him at the food table, whatever~ :D))

When she did come in, there weren't many people around yet - mostly just the staff. She didn't really notice at first, though: there was something much more important to do.
Haruhi made a beeline for the sushi table.
[[OOC: Haruhi is wearing something quite similar to this (long hair not included). General reactions and OMGITSAGIRL comments both welcome and encouraged.]]

I MUST HELP HER DECIDE. thought Vash, eyes the size of dinner plates.
He waltzed (almost literally) over to her, and placed a gentle hand upon her shoulder, gesturing to the most interesting-looking dish that caught his eye. "Please, miss, you have to try this one," he said in baritone, "Its flavor, I'm sure, is the only one that would have hopes of matching your beauty."

"Oh, hey, Vash." She considered the sushi he had picked out for her. "Thanks, but I'm not really big on Hoshigarei. I'm looking for the Ōtoro."

He kept on saying it for a few moments, hand still on her shoulder.
He removed it finally, still leaning down and smiling stiffly at her.
"...H...Haruhi?" he said meekly, "Is that really you?"

She unconsciously fidgeted with her dress. She hadn't liked it very much, but Orihime had insisted that it looked good on her. She needed something to wear anyway, it didn't quite matter what it was.
It wasn't difficult to spot a walking mass of orange hair, so she walked towards Ichigo with a grin on her face. "Oh, Kurosaki-kun~! So you finally decided to come!" she spoke in her fake, schoolgirl-like voice.
[[OOC: For lack of a better idea *facepalm*, Rukia will be wearing this, with the braids and everything =D. Also, supposedly she and Orihime went shopping for the dress, but it... never actually happened. So let's just pretend it did n_nU]]

No one beats her being fashionably late.
Noticing the Prince standing right in front of her--was he trying to be fashionable, too? PFFT. HA--she silently pounced her way right behind him and, taking a deep breath, shouted: "HEY PRINCE!"

Well, of course he could and would claim not to have been surprised. It would merely be a lie. His startlement gave way quickly, however, to the superior force of his irritability.
"What the hell do you want?"

"I wasn't sure if you were gonna show up!"

Of course, he was just as excited to see people he had already met! He liked his friends and wanted to spend time with them, particularly Florina. He promised to be there for her, after all. Maybe being early was a good thing, he thought. If Florina had arrived first, she'd have probably ran away or hid somewhere ( ... )

Oh! Oh, there was Bridget! She blushed and tried to tell Bridget that she looked very nice, and she hoped she was having a good time, but her feet seemed planted behind the bush. She hastily smoothed her own dress. Bridget was always so pretty.
"Bri-Bridg-Bridget--" She stammered, poking her head out timidly and trying to catch Bridget's attention, without having to attract attention at all.

Deciding the girl was, in fact, not underneath the table, he pulled his head out, took a step back, and crossed his arms. Now only a foot or so from the bushes, with his back still to them--and as a result, to Florina--he wondered where to look next.
Of course, he didn't hear the quiet voice behind him, being so deep in thought.

She tried to reach Bridget by wiggling her arm vaguely in her direction. Timidly, she stepped out a few paces and tugged at Bridget's shirt.
"Bri-Brid-" She blushed and just tugged a little harder.
