Just found out that our library is host the the KS Southwest Anime Club.  This makes me very happy.  It also has a lot of good/recent books. However, getting a card with them is like pulling teeth.  Most libraries only require one item with a current address on it, then they issue the card immediately.  This one requires two forms with addresses

At the library down here you need personal references to get a card. Needless to say, after living here for 2 days, I didn't know a single person. I was so disgusted that I still haven't gotten one. Small-town libraries have crazy rules.

Wow, that is ridiculous. We finally got our library cards yesterday, and the note said that now we have to activate them! So we are going today to get that done. They will probably say something like "I'm sorry, we can't activate them on Sunday's" or "We can activate them but you can't check anything out for a week".

Good luck. Hopefully they aren't as bad about opening on Sundays as they are down here. Nothing is open Sunday and everything closes at noon on Saturdays (including the library and hardware store).
