*Rick had had some time to think on this now. Daryl was an idiot a lot of the time but, compared to some, he could be a lot worse. Merle, for example... And at least he didn't spook like some unbroken filly either, which was dangerous with too many people running scared in too many directions. Give him a little more time, maybe Shane and himself could even train -teach- Daryl to herd in the group when they start to panic*
*... and Rick liked him for other less wholesome reasons too. He was good for releasing frustrations that he otherwise had to keep under wraps. He could be rough with him, work it all through, and he never once complained*
*Rick was in the wrong to walk away from him so hurriedly*
*in the absence of a door in the middle of the forest, the deputy knocked on a tree stump before approaching the other man* Can we talk?
LOL Daryl's fighting with everybody on this meme... very appropriate, RNG.throwsquirrelsSeptember 4 2011, 19:23:25 UTC
[Stupid son of a bitch - not like he cared what any of these assholes thought. Especially not those damn cops, didn't care none about what they said. Except if he didn't, he wouldn't be sitting here seething. At least he had the distraction of chopping some wood for the camp - had to keep those bastards taken care of no matter how he felt about'em.]
[Only damn help he had right now and he wasn't stupid enough to go it alone. Didn't mean he was ready to deal with Rick yet and the look he gave him probably showed it - the look like he might have been thinking of showing his axe right at that asshole's head.]
[He didn't do that either though. Wiping his forehead with the back of his arm, he shifted his weight a little.] 'Bout what? Ain't nothin' to talk about, is there?
LOL! At least no one's pregnant! XD officr_friendlySeptember 4 2011, 19:37:21 UTC
About earlier. *there was no point in them both being stubborn, that wouldn't get them nowhere. Rick still had too much pride to outright say that he was sorry though. A man like Daryl probably wouldn't accept an appology with much grace anyway*
I don't want no bad blood, so I come to clear the air.
IDK if Daryl could handle a bunch of little hims running around XDofficr_friendlySeptember 4 2011, 20:02:12 UTC
*he looked from Daryl to the pile of wood. At least they weren't going to go cold for sometime. See? He was useful, even when he was pissed*
*Rick took off his hat, hanging it from a cut off branch, and walked past Daryl, taking the axe from him as he went. Without a word, he took the first log, set it on end and swung the axe over his shoulder to split it*
Look here, I said some things I'm none too proud of... *he set the next log to be chopped* ... all I'm asking is you accept my appology.
LOL I know, right? All shooting at him with their toy crossbows and throwing squirrels xDthrowsquirrelsSeptember 4 2011, 20:34:00 UTC
[Daryl stepped aside to let the other work, take a breather. He needed it after all. He'd been working for a damn long time. Arms crossed, he watched Rick for a few minutes.]
You think it's gonna be that easy, man? [He huffed, shaking his head.] Whatever. Hope you weren't expectin' some kissing and making up or something.
LMAO! You remind me, there's a video on youtube I need to post for him sometime... XDofficr_friendlySeptember 4 2011, 21:22:05 UTC
*his gaze flicked up at that. He'd been hoping for something along those lines, though not exactly... He wasn't labouring under any romantic fantasies of exactly what he had going on with the redneck*
Well, what do you want me to say? Because sorry's the best I got.
LOL really? What is it? xDthrowsquirrelsSeptember 4 2011, 21:53:45 UTC
[Daryl let out a sigh, watching Rick for a few minutes. Really? He hadn't been expecting the apology in the first place... and it wasn't like he was expecting some ass kissing here. He just hadn't cooled down enough, he guessed]
[But he shrugged, relenting a little.] Forget about it... let's just forget about it. [Close as he was going to come to accepting any damn apology.]
Its a kid and her new friend, a dead squirrel XD officr_friendlySeptember 5 2011, 06:06:24 UTC
*Rick wriggled the axe free from the stump he'd just embedded it in. He took another swing and split it in two*
*Pausing, he shoved up the sleeves on his shirt, this was hot work. Forgetting about it, he could do. It was the best approach in these times. Plenty of other things going on he was doing his best to forget about too...*
Okay. Done. *he continued to work in silence for a bit* Are we going back to... The arrangement before, too?
LOL oh god xD Sounds like Daryl's kinda video, manthrowsquirrelsSeptember 5 2011, 06:25:38 UTC
[Daryl paused, considering the question for a few minute.] Well, if I said no, it'd be punishin' myself as much as you, so yeah, guess so. Everything's the same.
"it's funny because the squirrel dies!" /misquoting "Up" XDofficr_friendlySeptember 5 2011, 21:02:18 UTC
*he let out a soft chuckle and shook his head at that* Good.
*after his last swing he left the axe caught in the wood. Breathing heavily from the work and the heat, he looked around. They were alone for all he could see*
*he stepped away from the wood pile and made his way towards the other man*
*he tried to keep it together, to not show too much weakness when Daryl tugged his hair, but after their earlier fight, after the day -days- he'd had, he needed this badly. He groaned as he moved into the other's personal space, hands already dropping to tug on the hunter's belt buckle*
Yeah. Heh. I don't need long... *he smiled a bit as he leaned in to press a hard, fast kiss against Daryl's mouth*
[He returned the kiss just as hard, his hand staying tangled tight in the other's hair as he pulled him in for a rough kiss, biting at his lower lip teasingly.]
[Both his hands were soon dropping down anyway, going to work on Rick's pants, undoing them as quick as he could.]
*... and Rick liked him for other less wholesome reasons too. He was good for releasing frustrations that he otherwise had to keep under wraps. He could be rough with him, work it all through, and he never once complained*

[Knew by now that it was pointless to argue or walk off. If Rick wanted to have a discussion, he'd get it one way or another.]
Hurry it up.

We alone out here for awhile?

Looks like it. No one's coming out to check on me...

[Meant it was okay to approach the other closer, reaching up to tangle a hand into his hair and tug him forward.]
Then guess we better make this quick before they decide to come checkin', huh?
