[[OOC: I feel like this scene would probably need a little bit o' discussion before setting the scene. How do we want to do this? Vague canon point or post-Reichenbach? I think it could be interesting if Sherlock returns some time after Reichenbach and finds Molly living and raising his child. Of course, I can roll with the adoption thing too. What do you think?]]

[It's been well over two years, maybe three, since the Moriarty case and the death of Sherlock Holmes. Molly would prefer not to think of the first man, and she's secretly thankful she never got involved enough with Jim to be dragged into that atrocious court room process.

But the other man? She'd be lying if she didn't still think about him, especially on days like today where she's zoning out at work. Thankfully she's not working on anyone at the moment, merely filing paperwork in rote fashion. It isn't until the little cat-shaped alarm clock she keeps by the computer goes off that she returns to reality, grabbing her coat with a smile.]

Mina! I'm heading out, I'll see you Monday!

[She no longer has such long shifts at the morgue, though she refuses to fully hand over control until she's on a slab herself. That's the joke she often makes, much to the uncomfortable smiles of her coworkers. Still, Molly's content with herself most of the time, and the smile that's on her face as she goes to pick up her favorite person from ( ... )
