[Claire's nervous. She hasn't had feelings like this for a girl in quite a while, not since Gretchen, and this is certainly different from Gretchen. This is real. She really, genuinely likes Santana, and she's finally building up the nerve to make a move.]

Hey, um...

[Well, after that awkward attempt at trying to speak, Claire lifts her head, aiming for Santana's mouth but losing her nerve at the last second, moving instead to gently brush her lips along the other's jaw. Worst first kiss ever.]

Yay!!! :D I always get nervous tagging Claire and flake out. :P

[Santana's surprised by how easily she's come to like Claire. There's just something about the other girl that really attracts her. And she's had to use a lot of willpower to keep from making a move herself. She's in college now, and it's time for her to try this whole 'taking it slow' thing she's heard so much about.]

[She's cut off by Claire's lips brushing over her jaw. It's not quite what she'd hoped for, but she can't say she doesn't like it.]

[The pleasant reaction is encouraging, and so Claire tries again. This time, she's more successful, her lips finding Santana's for a soft, tentative kiss. She's hoping she's right about this, but she's had a hunch that maybe Santana feels the same way, a hunch that just might be turning out to be true.

A hand lifts to lightly brush up the girl's arm, not really knowing what else to do with it.]

[Santana is very receptive, sliding her hands down to Claire's hips and kissing her tenderly back. She's grown to really care for Claire and this has tons of butterflies to life in her stomach.

Pulling Claire closer to her, Santana cautiously prodded at Claire's lips with the tip of her tongue, hoping to deepen the kiss.]

[Oh, the hands on the hips. Apparently that's just as sexy when a girl does it. Claire presses in as Santana pulls her, parting her lips and letting her tongue slip out to brush against Santana's. There's a very real physical attraction, but Claire also really cares for Santana, so much so that she's really glad she decided to go back to college, otherwise they'd have never met. The bond is also so deep that it's got Claire willing to put aside her fear and nervousness and try to connect with a girl again. But Santana isn't just any girl.]

[Santana really hadn't thought she could connect to anyone else but Brittany on a real emotional level. Hell, for the longest time, she didn't think she could do it with Brittany. But college had been different, and she'd met someone special. And that someone was Claire. Santana was surprised by the connection, but she was really into Claire. And kissing her was like her new favorite hobby. This was no exception.

She deepens the kiss and tightens her hold on Claire, keeping her close. She's definitely into lots of physical contact when kissing or being kissed.

[There's no more hesitation on Claire's part, she's fully immersed herself in the act of kissing Santana, her hands starting to roam over the other girl's body. Flat palms move up her sides, around to her back, tongue dancing lightly with hers, body pressing as snugly as she can manage. Claire too likes a lot of contact while kissing, and she's making sure they both get it now. She's vaguely aware of the fact that they'll have to breathe soon, but for now she's in no hurry to pull away. Santana just feels so perfect, it's hard to resist.]

*Kissing Santana never failed to make Sam's head feel like it was spinning. She just had this way of effecting him that he'd never expected. But, he loved it. He loved how he gravitated closer to her, desperate for more of her attention. And, because she was such a tease, he wanted to be the tease this time. He wanted to beat her at her own game and so, he began to pull out of their kiss, just enough. Just enough to close his teeth around her bottom lip and tug as he drew back, releasing it with a tiny smirk on his face.*

[Santana was not used to being the one teased, and the groan, half-annoyed, half-pleased when he tugged on her bottom lip like that said as much. She grabbed his shoulders and tried to pull him closer, to kiss him properly.] Come oooon.

[Friends wasn't exactly the word that Rachel would've used to describe her relationship with Santana. In fact, it was slowly evolving out of the rivalry category. Not only had Santana's talent been blossoming in Glee Club, causing her to become more competition for solos, but she was also the one person Rachel had felt like she'd had to live up to with Finn. Oh, of course there was Quinn also, but Santana was the most threatening with her ridiculous sexuality and the knowledge that she'd slept with Finn first. Rachel had spent more time than she cared to admit wondering if she was somehow supposed to live up to her in their making out and later, making love

[Friends was definitely not a word Santana expected she'd ever be able to use to describe Rachel Berry. For three years, they had been at each other's throats, even moreso when Santana had joined Glee Club during sophomore year and really encroached on Berry's territory. In the beginning, Santana hadn't cared that Rachel took all the solos - even she saw that Rachel was their best shot at winning. But as she grew more into her singing voice and became more and more involved and honestly interested in being a part of Glee, instead of posing as Sue Sylvester's spy, she wanted those solos. And she put up a fight for them, and slowly but surely, Rachel had learned to share. Santana had grown to respect and even like her at times, leaving the insulting nicknames behind for the most part - she still used them sometimes, though in a lot more friendly of a manner

Moderately. [Rachel is watching her closely, trying to read her body language. Santana looks relaxed, but then again she's always been unpredictable. Rachel's not really sure how to approach what she wants to ask, and so she takes a second to steel herself up for the question and the probable backlash.]

What's it like? [She swallows down her nervousness.] Kissing a girl?

[Santana can't help tensing just a little. Of all people, Rachel had to ask her this question. But then again, who else is there to ask? She hesitates before trying to form a good answer.] It's not...so different from kissing a guy. Softer, sweeter, maybe, because girls wear lip gloss. [She shrugs, meeting Rachel's eyes for a moment.] ...Why?

[Rachel can feel her face warm the tiniest bit at Santana's question, but she refuses to duck her head or look away. She knows that she's putting their precarious friendship in danger, but the need to push is too strong to ignore. She speaks simply and directly. Santana didn't laugh at her or try to embarrass her, the least she can do is be honest.] I've been thinking about it.
