You Should Have Knocked
So everyone has had this moment in their life, the one where they were so impatient or absent minded they went flinging a door open when they really shouldn't have. Sometimes its not your fault, how could you know your housemate and his girlfriend were having sex on the kitchen table!? Othertimes someone was in the bathroom ( Read more... )

There are reasons Chives usually says 'no, absolutely not' to having his wrists restrained. But Eights can be convincing, and Eights can be quick, and Eights can remember a meeting after they've gotten his shirt off, cuffed him to his own bed.

And Eights can, in their rush, take the key with them.

It's entirely Undignified, knowing someone has to rescue him from this. Hopefully it will be no one of consequence.

Oh, Chives. We abuse you so. XD headfollowheart January 5 2012, 16:27:02 UTC
Chives hadn't been in any of the usual places - meaning, of course, the kitchen or diligently polishing something - and Zoe couldn't help but be concerned. Which brought her here, to his door after close questioning of a Three led her to finding said door.

She probably should have knocked. Instead, she'll blink and then stare for a moment, and then step inside and close the door. "...Chives."

It's probably fortunate that she wore her hair up today, and she plucks a hairpin out of her chignon. It can be sacrificed to the cause.

...ah. Someone of consequence. Of course.

"Miss Seven." His face doesn't particularly change. Shame, discomfort, awkwardness; these aren't particularly things that register on his face at the best of times, let alone at a time like This. "I hope I've not kept you or Master Victor waiting?"

Because what else is a person supposed to do or say while sitting half-naked and perched on the edge of one's bed, wrist red from being clawed at in impossible escape attempts?

But 99% chance he'll have no interest in anything sex-shaped. He takes these things in stride.

[The bedside lamp is lit, and one of Rhoda's hands is splitting the pages of a book open--whether she's actually reading it is debatable, as it's currently lying on her chest, but one thing is for certain. She's starkers, peacefully asleep. And the comforter on the bed isn't covering anything above her hipbone.

Care to do something about it, Dashlogan?]

[....Oh! He'd gotten in late from personal tutoring sessions (they drag on quite a bit for Time Lords) and hadn't realized that it'd gotten so late until he actually got home. Yes, even a Time Lord can lose track of time by the hours once they're nearly six thousand! Hours just don't mean as much any longer ( ... )

[She most certainly remembers what page she was on. Picking up where she left off won't be an issue at all. Another thing about Time Lords is that they don't really need all that much sleep. And Rhoda's just barely on the threshold between sleep and wakefulness when she feels the weight of the book lifted out of her hand and off her chest. Apparently she'd been on a particularly active schedule in the past week or so and finally crashed that night.

She eventually stirs when she feels Dash's lips on her temple, her lips curling into a somewhat sleep-dampened smile as she focuses on his lovely face.]

Hardly an adventure, dear, I was just preparing for a field trip I'd planned. [Which, by some definitions, really could be called an adventure, but would just be a typical Tuesday to Rhodabiron...]

The dancing shows were her guilty pleasure. She'd seen Shall We Dance five times and Take the Lead at least that many. She'd put in the sound track and before she knew it, she was dancing along. Safe in her rooms, she could pretend she was Ginger Rogers and Arawn, her stuffed Dragon, made a perfect Fred Astaire.

No one, absolutely no one, was supposed to walk in when she was leading Arawn in a tango, rose held rakishly in her mouth.

Alas, it was not to be, Sophie, but it does take Ben a minute to look up from the book he's reading to catch sight of his girlfriend doing a very credible tango.

With her dragon.

The eyebrows shoot up, and he just leans against the door to watch.

"You dance divinely," Sophie assures Arawn in a comically exaggerated French accent. "Come, my love, do not be shy. Let me take you to the--Cas--!"

She whirls them back towards the door and her unintended audience.

"...bah."

Oh, dear.

Lucy Honeychurch was a fine English lady who was visiting Venice with her elderly cousin (and chaperone), Miss Bartlett. This afternoon, despite of her cousin’s wishes, they had gone their own ways since Lucy had not wanted to see yet another church.

She came across a building that had a plate on the wall stating "Marco Polo lived here". The front door was open and she stepped in to see a tourist group listening to a lecture about that famous man. Instead of joining the group she walked up to the second floor and looked around the rooms there.

One door was closed and as she opened it-

she gasped!

There lay a man on the bed, his hands and legs tied to the bedposts with velvet ribbons. He appeared to be unclothed except for a women’s tricorne hat that was strategically placed to cover a part of his body.
