While I'm cool with gay people, I am not cool with teachers discussion their personal politics, personal lives or personal sexlives in class. The goal was to get kids to think for themselves, not to regurgitated what an authority figure says.

This.

I was never aware of my teacher's genital preference and I think that's as it should be.

The only time I became aware of a teachers sexual preference (it was hetero, not homo, for those of you wondering), I went to the principle, and he was fired, I was in the 9th grade.

Actually, I've been indirectly responsible for two teachers getting canned. before I graduated highschool.

In college, there were a few teachers I thought should be fired too, like the one that was always late, and didn't grade our papers in the same time frame other teachers would. He kicked me out of his class. He was tenured.

So they beat Cramer into submission for publicly criticizing the One. All the sudden he's "changed his mind". "Everything is all good now, nothing at all to be concerned about".

I fucking hate John Stewart.

"Go back to sleep America, your Government is in charge"-Bill Hicks.

That appears to be the case.

Me too! Worse than everything else, he is a coward who hides behind the comedian tag. I'd like to see him debate a conservative without a Daily Show audience.

The unions can choose to speak up or not. They choose not to because, as you say, they are a joke. Union members pay dues. They can provide feedback to their union to bring change or not. They choose not to.
