Liberals don't see the media as being biased in their favor. Why? Because they believe what they are saying is pure fact and nothing more. It does not matter that you can clearly demonstrate without a shadow of a doubt (to a reasonable person) that it's false. As long as something is "true for them" or they "feel" it's so, then that's the end of it.

It also doesn't seem to matter that you can do a side-by-side comparison of similar stories/ scandals and clearly demonstrate how things are covered differently depending on whether it's a liberal or a non-liberal or conservative/Republican (even just in name) individual involved.

It's like they have selective amnesia. Obama does this or that, it disappears from their minds. A conservative/Republican did something - or is even PERCEIVED to have done something - 10 years ago, they can still bring up every detail. ("But Bush!")

I can't claim to fully understand it. But I've seen it happen over and over and over again.

Oh, you're absolutely right. Democrats (progressives) took Orwell as a how-to manual. They've trained people (and Common Core is this sentiment on a meth/steroid cocktail) that all that matters is how you feel, and any evidence how you feel is wrong is proof of hate. Once that's embedded into the psyche they don't have to train the drones further. They'll constantly retrain themselves, knowing that if it comes from their liberal masters it must be the right way to feel.

I really cannot understand how people can live and function this way. Everyday life doesn't even function that way! You can't just believe something and because you believe it, that makes it true.

If that were so, why can't I just believe I have a million bucks in the bank and the bank would agree and give it to me?

Someone plans out and executes a mass murder and they're considered "mentally ill". Liberals think and behave in the above manner and they're considered sane.

I just don't get it.
