That story about Alice Walker's daughter was heartbreaking! If she thought motherhood was so awful, why didn't she give up her daughter for adoption, to people who would've loved her and given her a stable upbringing? And now to not even want to see her own grandson? Sheesh! What level of hatred keeps you going like that for decades? It's a wonder her daughter seems to have turned out well and is capable of being a loving mother to her son ( ... )

Cult of Indiscriminateness. All outcomes should be equal no matter what you do. We conservatives and our silly rules are just unnecessary burdens.

What level of hatred

Leftist. The more they believe, the more bodies they're willing to watch pile up.

It is indeed a wonder she turned out so well. I have a feeling this is happening more all over the country. The cycle has come around and people are learning the hard way their parent's hippie crap is both wrong and dangerous.

I used to deny they were intolerant, too. It took me years to finally get it. And yes, you can bet they are sharing with each other (because collectivists MUST do so) how quaint or flawed you are.

Well, that's at least one positive thing to come out of this mess!

It's what liberals *do*. They are completely unable to even consider dealing with the harsh realities of life, so they retreat. Fundamentally, emotionally, they are children. Emotionally stunted 8 year olds. You can hear it plainly in their every cry of "It's not FAAAAIIIIIIRRRR!!!!". So they hide in fiction.

What's always remarkable to me is how people from all backgrounds, all ages, all locations, etc. can... all think exactly the same way. This continues to baffle me.

I can understand the politicians and the academics and the celebrities. They live in their own little bubbles and they don't live in the 'real world' anyway. But when I see real people that I know and people that other people know - all of whom do not know each other - yet they all not only behave the same way, but often use the very same catchphrases and slogans, that's just freaky! I know the culture itself brainwashes us all, but I still don't quite get how it happens, to such an extent.

To some degree, everyone does that. I repeat what I read here on melvins journal. Sometimes, I even repeat it word for word. It's a pretty human thing. Sometimes, some errors creep in, and I find myself repeating things that are not correct. It happens ( ... )

They will.keep spouting the same discredited lie for year after year, exposure after exposure. why? Because to a liberal, the facts are subordinate to the "agenda".

See, I can understand that coming from politicians or people in the media or others who have direct influence in changing the culture. They have a lot at stake, even if it's just their own reputation. But I'm guessing the average liberal person can't point to any agenda they personally have. They're just normal people living normal lives, yet they still hold to such views. I guess they just go with the culture says is for that 'greater good', without ever really thinking it through?

That's the part that gets me. I can't *not* think things through, even my own positions. Especially those! How can you not once wonder/ask yourself, "Is this accurate? Is this factual? How did I come to this conclusion about XYZ issue?"

Honestly, I sometimes wish I could be one of those people. Life would be so much easier if I didn't think so much.

"Watch every idiotic Liberal belief on display, winning the only place it ever can - fiction. (Actually, don't watch.)"

This is basically how the libbies always respond: double down on the crazy. It's never bad ideas that don't work. It's always something else: right wing "perfidy", or they didn't "communicate" effectively enough for the hoi polloi to get it (which explains why Obama is such a yakker) or they were "too timid" (i.e. didn't double down on the crazy enough) or too many "old" conservatives, but they'll soon die off. (Never mind that what is fundamentally flawed today will still be fundamentally flawed when today's kids are tomorrow's old farts.) Too many "toothless rednecks" who don't know better than to vote "against their interests" -- as if damn near 50% of America lived in trailer parks. (Although why this should be a bad thing escapes me completely: some of those double wides are quite nice.) That's really how they see it: voting is a bad thing because there are too few properly Enlightened Ones out there in fly- ( ... )

Reality is that thing that doesn't go away no matter how hard you wish. Libbies haven't figured that out yet.

They won't. They smear, rewrite and kill.
