Maureen Dowd and Revenge of the Homely Redhead

Oct 18, 2010 10:18

For those who read the Marueen Dowd piece here where she shamelessly and childishly attacked non-Liberal women, I just read a fantastic response in the same tone as Dowd's piece.

Kawaii-something-or-other, I dedicate this article to you, honey.

Maureen Dowd and Revenge of the Homely Redhead"All these Republican women, who are giving the powerful ( Read more... )

I'm willing to bet that the reactions to this will be shocked and hurt accusations towards Shiver of misogyny and pettiness, and the resident chorus chiming in on behalf of poor Maureen and women everywhere.
There is no question.

They've proven repeatedly that satire, like so much else, is Liberal-only. Non-Liberals need not apply.

Speaking of feminists who are only interested in equality for liberal women, did you hear the comments by California NOW chief Bellasalma, regarding Meg Whitman? After Brown's campaign apologized, Whitman herself said "let's move past this and deal with the issues" and even the national NOW said: "Uh oh, you can't say that", the issue ought to have been dead... but Ms. Bellasalma couldn't resist getting one last dig in: "Well, it's accurate, because Whitman is a whore".

Stay classy, feminists.

Yeah. She said she is a "political whore".

Forevermore to be known as the National Organization for political Whores.

I was going to post an update on that but didn't get to it. There isn't much to say. I'd say good for NOW but I don't buy it.

Speaking of classy, check out this routine of pure self-loathing and scumbaggery.

There is so much wrong with that I don't know where to start.

Wow, Maher. Once again you've disproven those who thought you couldn't sink any lower.

This is what conservatives are really upset about. That the president is black, and the Secretary of State is a woman, and every shortstop is Latino, and every daytime talk show host is a lesbian.

That must explain the conservative OUTRAGE at Condoleezza Rice and Clarence Thomas, and why none of us ever, EVER listen to machosauce. Oh, wait...

The lovely MILFs of the new rank. And their little secret is that their popularity comes exclusively from white men. Look at the polling. Minorities hate them. Women hate them. Only white men like them. I'm no psychiatrist but I do own a couch. And my theory is that these women represent something those men miss dearly: the traditional idiot housewife.

Maher needs to learn what polling and statistics are, and then actually use them, instead of spouting made up nonsense. Or, to say it more succinctly:

The best though is Coulter's comment on ths whole thing:

He said Favre was upset - ( ... )

Keep in mind, he keeps referring to these conservative women as "Mothers I'd Like to FUCK".

Not a term I mind, but then come the fuck on now with this preaching. I'm missing the justification for the moral high ground from which he think he speaks.

They don't count. Uncle Tom tokens, you know.

As an obviously self-hating white man (and likely self-hating Jew with enormous mommy issues) it's probably easier for him than your average Dem to write them off as such.

Yep. Also, here's my big question...
Minorities hate them
As Rush points out, 85% of blacks are lockstep with Obama. Something like 35% of whites still support Obama right now. So when do we get to point out that black people are racist?

How Maher could turn a disgusting act by a disgusting guy into some kind of political allegory and indictment of an entire race and gender is beyond me, but then, ( ... )
